![]() It's very simple really. Guitar music is written on the treble clef staff. The staff has five horizontal lines and four spaces. Each line has a letter name( E G B D F ). Each space also has a letter name ( F A C E ). ![]() So a note that appears on the bottom line is called E. Likewise a note that appears in the top space is also called E except that it is one octave ( 8 notes ) higher than the other. Once you know the name of the note it's just a matter of finding it on your instrument. To find treble clef notes on the guitar neck click on Treble Clef at the bottom of this page. |
